Bus transportation routing for the 2026-2027 school year is underway. Families who need transportation for the first day of school must submit bus requests through their child’s school by August 12, 2026. Families are encouraged to check the BusQuest app for route assignments and updates, and to contact their child’s school if address or contact information needs to be updated.

In accordance with North Carolina House Bill 142, all MCS students in grades 6–12 will view state-required videos on abuse and neglect developed by the NC Center for Safer Schools. Schools will notify families of the dates these videos will be shown. Alongside this, students will also receive information about the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS), which provides a secure, confidential way to report safety concerns through a mobile app, website, or 24/7 hotline.
