Moore County's Athletics page

Athletics

The athletic programs of Moore County Schools exist to provide positive and productive school experiences while teaching valuable life lessons, including the importance of hard work, dedication, ethics and teamwork. Student participation in athletics is a privilege that carries with it responsibilities to self, to team, to school and to community. A commitment to athletic excellence is achieved through academic rigor, well-trained and committed coaches, discipline, sportsmanship and essential equipment and facilities.

Athletic success is measured by the development of young men and women into valuable members of the community and not solely by wins and losses. A successful athletic program can be achieved only with the steadfast support of parents, school staff members, coaches, administrators and community leaders.

Middle and high school students interested in participating in sports will need to have their doctor complete the NCHSAA Sports Physical Form each school year. The form can be found below.
