Moore County Schools Police

The Moore County Schools Police is comprised of 13 officers. Former Chief McNeill is credited with getting House Bill 1841 passed in 2010 moving the Moore County Schools Police Department law enforcement authoritative powers from Chapter 74E Company Police to Chapter 115C of the General Statues for Campus Police. Chapter 115C give the Moore County Schools Police Department Officers authoritative powers on the streets running through and surrounding our school campuses creating a safer environment.

These officers are responsible for police services at multiple schools throughout our 22 school district. Not only do these officers help to protect the students and staff of the Moore County Schools, they are also active in other areas such as coaching, teaching the Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT) program, and as instructors in the local and/or surrounding Basic Law Enforcement Training Programs. Each one of these officers have several years of experience in law enforcement.
