Digital Literacy and STEM

Digital Literacy

MCS Goals and statement of values: Not every child will have a career in technology, but every child will be expected to utilize technology throughout their career to be proficient and stay connected. MCS is responding to that challenge by teaching students how to leverage technology tools and 21st-century competencies in powerful, purposeful, responsible ways.

MCS is committed to teaching Digital Literacy: Digital literacy is a set of technical and cognitive skills that students use to find, critically evaluate, remix, and communicate information responsibly in an increasingly digital world. Moore County Schools believes digital literacy is essential for our students in the 21st-century to be successful and productive adults. (Guides: Digital Literacy: Digital Literacy, n.d.)
