Student Teachers and Internships
Moore County Schools welcomes potential student teachers and interns to our district. We value our partnerships with regionally accredited colleges and universities in the education and development of future educators. We are excited to serve as a host for educational placements.
How to Begin: Students must work through the field placement coordinator at their college or university regarding MCS placements. Students are not permitted to contact schools or Human Resources directly to request placements. Please have the field placement liaison contact Andrea Burton at [email protected] to request placement.
MOU (Memorandum of Understanding)
Moore County Schools requires a MOU with all colleges and universities who have students participating in student teaching or internship. Colleges and universities must agree to the district’s standard MOU agreement. The MOU must be finalized before consideration can be given to an internship and student teaching placement request. All MOUs are subject to the review and approval of the Assistant Director for Human Resources and/or the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources.
