Enrolling Your Child

Welcome to Moore County Schools. The following information will guide you through enrolling your child as a new student in our school district. We look forward to working with you and your child throughout their education. 

Enrollment Overview:

Student enrollment is completed online through a central portal for all campuses. Once you create a login and complete the online registration, you will be contacted by your child’s new school within 3 business days to finalize your enrollment and coordinate submission of all required documents (i.e. birth certificate, proof of residence, health form).

Step 1 - Identify your child’s school based on your home address. 

The district has recently undergone a student reassignment process. Please use the only search queries below to determine which school your child will attend. You must use both queries -- one for each of the next two school years -- to confirm your child's school assignments.

If you continue to have questions about your child's school assignment, contact the Transportation Department for Moore County Schools at 910-947-5481.

Step 2: Create a PowerSchool Registration Account

Please select the school year in which you are enrolling your child. Once you open the link, you will create a new account by clicking the green “Create Account” button on the right side of the screen and follow the prompts to complete the process. Step 3: Collect Required Documentation
Once you have submitted your online enrollment form, you will be contacted by the school within 3 business days to complete the enrollment process. Please make sure you have the following documentation when you visit the school:
Kindergarten:
  • Certified birth certificate
  • Record of immunizations (original record from the doctor or health department)
  • NC Health Assessment completed by a doctor
  • Current proof of residency in the attendance area of the enrolling school (current utility bill or purchase agreement with a down payment)
1st – 12th grade:
  • Certified birth certificate
  • Record of immunizations (originals from the doctor or health department)
  • Health Assessment completed by a doctor (only applies to students who have NOT attended a North Carolina Public School in the past)
  • Last report card, withdrawal documentation, or transcript from the previous school (if available)
  • Current proof of residency in the attendance area of the enrolling school (current utility bill or purchase agreement with a down payment)
  • Sports Physical (Grades 6-12) if the student will play a school sponsored sport
