Dr. Seth Powers
Dr. Powers has worked for MCS for 27 years as a teacher, principal, and since July 2016, as Director of Student Support Services. Prior to his current position, he served as a principal at Highfalls Elementary, West Pine Elementary and Elise Middle. As Director for Student Support Services, he is responsible for all activities related to student safety, health and welfare including the school nurse program, the MCS Police, counselors, social workers, psychologists and athletics.
Dr. Powers has a Bachelor of Science in physical education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Master's in School Administration degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Fayetteville State University.
Lucinda Dedmond
Lucinda Dedmond has been a school psychologist and school counselor for Moore County Schools for over 24 years. Mrs. Dedmond earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and an advanced specialist degree in school psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. More recently, she earned a post-master's Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.
