Welcome to Arts Education in Moore County Schools! We are proud that Moore County Schools is committed to providing a strong Arts Education Program. We presently offer visual art and general music to our students in grades kindergarten through 12th grade. For students in grades 6-12, studies in the performing arts expand to include band, chorus, drama, and orchestra.

Thank you for visiting our website. Here you will find examples of student work, calendar of events, resources for our arts educators, and information on how to make the most of your child's arts education. If you have questions regarding our arts programs, I invite you to contact me.

VISION FOR COMPREHENSIVE ARTS EDUCATION
CAE logo In today's globally competitive world, innovative thinking and creativity are essential for all school children. High quality, standards-based instruction in the arts develops these skills and effectively engages, retains, and prepares future-ready students for graduation and success in an entrepreneurial economy. Dance, music, theatre arts, and visual arts, taught by licensed arts educators and integrated throughout the curriculum, are critical to North Carolina's 21st century education.
