Transfers and Discretionary Admissions

Student Admissions and Transfers The transfer window for the 2021-22 school year is now closed!

If a parent has a need for their child to attend a school outside of their zoned attendance area, they can request a school transfer provided they meet the criteria set forth by the Moore County Board of Education.  School transfer requests must be submitted during the open transfer window.  Our transfer window for the 2021-22 school year was open February 1 - 28.   It is now closed!

The transfer window will re-open March 29 - April 9 for rising kindergarten students only!  No transfer requests for any other grade level will be accepted during this two week window!  If you have a need to request a transfer for a rising kindergarten student, you must contact Gina Kelly by email at by April 9 for further instructions.  Please include the full name of the rising kindergarten student and their date of birth in your email to Mrs. Kelly.

Below, you will find a letter sent home to all parents, information related to the student transfer and discretionary admission process, a link to the online application, and a list of "capped" schools for 2021-2022.  Capped schools are those that are at or over 95% of capacity and are unable to accept new transfer or discretionary admissions.  Rising Grade transfer requests for capped schools will be considered to the extent possible.
