NCHSAA health and safety provides more information on the state requirements to play public school athletics. Every year, parents, student-athletes, and schools must complete the PPE and Code of Conduct forms prior to beginning each season.

Exceptions

Exceptions to the clear bag guidelines will be made for credentialed members of the media, individuals carrying medically necessary items, and individuals carrying diaper bags when accompanied by an infant or toddler. All bags allowed under an exception will be thoroughly inspected before entry is permitted.

The safety of our students, employees, families, and spectators is a top priority. Moore County Schools continually reviews and strengthens its safety and emergency procedures to help provide a safe and welcoming environment at athletic events.

2. Do these guidelines apply only to certain athletic events?
No. The clear bag guidelines and listed exceptions apply to all Moore County Schools athletic events.

3. Do I have to place all of my belongings in a clear bag?
No. The guidelines limit the types and sizes of bags that may be brought into the venue. They do not restrict personal items that spectators would normally carry in their hands or pockets.

Each spectator may bring an approved clear bag. Spectators may also carry one small, non-clear clutch bag that does not exceed 6 inches by 4 inches by 1 inch.

4. May I bring a stadium seat or bleacher chair into the venue?
Yes. Spectators may bring a stadium seat or bleacher chair into the venue. These items are subject to inspection.

5. May I bring a blanket into the venue?
Yes. Spectators may bring a blanket into the venue by carrying it over their shoulder or arm when entering. Blankets are subject to inspection.
