NC Pre-K is a free preschool program for at-risk children. Acceptance is based on need and number of slots available NOT first come, first serve. Application intake for the 2020-2021 school year at the following locations:
Wednesday, March 4, 2020 - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Vass Lake-View Elementary
Wednesday, March 11, 2020 - 8:00 am to 5:00 pm at Robbins Elementary School
Tuesday, March 17, 2020 - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Aberdeen Primary School-CANCELLED*
Thursday, March 19, 2020 - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Carthage Elementary School-CANCELLED*
Tuesday, March 24, 2020 - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at Southern Pines Primary-CANCELLED*
Thursday, March 26, 2020 - 11:00 am to 5:00 pm at West End Elementary School-CANCELLED*

Eligibility Requirements
- Your child must be four years old by August 31, 2020.
- You must be a Moore County resident.
- Your child must meet one or more of the following risk factors: low income; chronic health condition as diagnosed by doctor-bring documentation (excludes asthma); limited English proficiency; a current IEP for speech services or for a developmental delay; or military.
- Your child is NOT currently enrolled in a childcare center, preschool or Head Start Program.
Please Bring to Application Intake
- Child's Birth Certificate
- Parent/Guardian's Driver License, Picture ID or other proof of residency
- Child's Social Security or Medicaid Card if American Citizen.
- Proof of income for both parents/guardians (2019 tax records or 2 current pay stubs; documentation of other income).
- If applicable: Documentation of health conditions or special needs; proof of active duty military service.
