Moore County's STEM Camp page

Each year, in the last two weeks of June, the Moore County Schools DIF/STEM team offer the BEST STEM Camp in the state of North Carolina! In these two weeks of camp, students are given the opportunity to experience cutting edge technologies, hear directly from current professionals in STEM careers, take field trips to see STEM Careers in action, and have a lot of fun!

This year's STEM Camp will take place at Crain's Creek MS and is open to current 2nd-7th grade students. Our theme this year is Design / Architecture. Camp this year includes a field trip to our brand new McDeed's Creek Elementary School! Week One will take place June 17-20 and Week Two will be June 24-27.

Note: Registration closed on February 26th and this year's STEM Camp is currently FULL. Stay tuned next year in the month of February for applications to open up for summer 2020.

Tuition is $175 for the week. This tuition goes directly to support all of our top-notch STEM offerings in MCS (STEM Camp, K-12 Robotics, K-8 Engineering, and Cyber Patriot). Each year we offer 40 STEM Camp scholarships for families in need- targeting students that are particularly interested in STEM careers. These scholarships are funded through both individual donors as well as organizations/foundations such as Duke Energy and the Public Ed Foundation.

We have completed 6 summers of extraordinary STEM Camps. The past two STEM Camps were themed- in June 2017, through a partnership with the Moore County Airport, students experienced the world of aviation. In June 2018, through a partnership with First Health, they dove deep into the biomedical field. Click the local articles below to learn more about each:
