STEM Camp

Each June, the Moore County Schools DIF/STEM team offer the BEST STEM Camp in the state of North Carolina! In these two weeks of camp, students are given the opportunity to experience cutting edge technologies, hear directly from current professionals in STEM careers, take field trips to see STEM Careers in action, and have a lot of fun!

This year's STEM Camp will take place at Elise Middle School and is open to current 2nd-8th grade students. Week One will take place June 17-20 and Week Two will be June 24-27.

Tuition is $195 for the week. This tuition goes directly to support all of our top-notch STEM offerings in MCS (STEM Camp, K-12 Robotics, K-8 Engineering, and Cyber Patriot). Each year we offer 40 STEM Camp scholarships for families in need- targeting students that are particularly interested in STEM careers. This year scholarships are funded by a generous donation from the nVent foundation.

We have completed 9 summers of extraordinary STEM Camps. Past STEM Camps have included partnerships with the Moore County Airport, during which campers experienced the world of aviation and with First Health, during which campers dove deep into the biomedical field.
