Safe Driving Campaign

Moore County Schools will launch a Safe Driving Campaign for high school students during the week of November 3–7, 2025, featuring daily activities that promote awareness and responsible driving habits. Parents and students are also invited to attend a special presentation on Monday, November 3, from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at Union Pines High School, led by Sergeant Chris Smith of the North Carolina Highway Patrol.

Proposed FY2026-27 District Budget Feedback Portal

On Monday, March 2, 2026, MCS Interim Superintendent Jenny Purvis presented her proposed budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 to the Board of Education during its Work Session. This portal is now available for public input on the proposed budget and will remain open through Tuesday, March 17.

NC Center for Safer Schools

In accordance with North Carolina House Bill 142, all MCS students in grades 6–12 will view state-required videos on abuse and neglect developed by the NC Center for Safer Schools. Schools will notify families of the dates these videos will be shown. Alongside this, students will also receive information about the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System (SS-ARS), which provides a secure, confidential way to report safety concerns through a mobile app, website, or 24/7 hotline.
