To provide student athletes the opportunity to participate in a competitive educational based environment that is a vital part of the total educational experience. This experience will provide student athletes the opportunity to develop leadership skills, exhibit good sportsmanship, demonstrate the core values of character, teamwork, discipline and responsibility.

"Ticket to Play" ProcessRequired of ALL Student Athletes at the beginning of each sport season-BEFORE the first day of tryouts/practice!1. Grades, Fees, Physicals- checked by Donna Long2. MCS Participation Packet/MCS Athletic Code of Conduct- checked by Athletic Trainer Dana Dowell or Athletic Director Bobby Purvis. All forms must have signatures.3. Once above is verified, a "Ticket to Play" wristband will be issued by the Athletic Trainer or Athletic Director. This wristband must be worn to the first day of tryouts/practice. NO BAND, NO PLAY!
NEW in 2017-18....Recipients are those who letter in 3 Varsity Sports in a school year.Each recipient is awarded an Iron Viking Certificate and recognized on the UPHS website.Certificates are presented at the end of each school year.
