Military Family Council

The Military Family Council (MFC) is comprised of volunteer military family members from each school acting as a point of contact for incoming and currently enrolled military-connected families. The purpose of the MFC it to be a resource for military families to ask questions and find support, advocate on behalf of our military-connected students and collaborate with Moore County Schools to identify areas of support. The group's goal is to facilitate an open dialogue between military families and Moore County Schools resulting in programs and services that allow military-connected students to thrive emotionally and academically.

The MFC meets several times a year at the Moore County Central Office in Carthage. Meetings are open to all MCS military-connected family members. Military-connected parents interested in joining this group as a representative for their school should contact their school principal. For more information about the council, please contact the District Military Liaison Erica Funk
