On Tuesday, June 22, Moore County commissioners, school board members and representatives of the Village of Pinehurst toured the new Pinehurst Elementary School. The school, the last of the three projects completed from the 2018 bond referendum, opens to students in August.
Unlike the new Aberdeen and Southern Pines schools, Pinehurst Elementary was built on the site of the prior campus on Dundee Road. A temporary campus at Wicker Park will be dismantled after the switchover.
