Substitute Application Process


The following steps will be needed to become a classroom substitute:


Training

Step 1: Complete the Effective Teacher Training and Orientation Course with App-Garden University. The Cost of the training will be $49 and is paid online. This fee is non-refundable and/or reimbursed. This program allows you the ability to train anytime and anywhere you have internet access.


 *If you have a current teaching license, the training requirement is waived.


Application

Step 2: Complete an online Generic Classroom Substitute application on Applicant Tracking. The Generic Classroom Substitute application can be found by searching the Category: Instructional Support: Substitute


You must upload the Effective Teacher Training and Orientation certificate to your application for consideration. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed. 


References

Step 3: Once all 3 professional references have been received, a link to complete the substitute process will be sent to you via the TalentEd-Onboarding System. Please note that references are sent emails as soon as the application has been submitted. The contact emails for references must be valid email addresses.
