As required by General Statutes of North Carolina, each Local Education Agency shall implement and maintain school bus routes using TIMS (Transportation Information Management System).
TIMS Updates are due twice a year. Every driver is required to fill out a Route Correction Form and turn it into the Transportation Department after the 10th day of school. On this form, list students who are currently riding the bus and students who are new bus riders.
Please list the following information:
- Driver's name and bus number
- School name
- Complete a new form for each run including AM and PM
- List child's first and last name in the order they are picked up and/or dropped off
- List the location (which includes street names with house number, daycare names, apartment names, sub division or mobile home parks names or road name at corner stops)
- Exp are: Clearwater Apts, New Way mhp, Little Miracles daycare or Forest Hill Sub division
- List child's grade level
Do not:
- use TIMS route sheet to make corrections on
- list run directions or turn around locations
- nicknames of students or assume that siblings have the same last name
