Transportation Information for 2022-23

Transportation Information for the 2022-23 School Year
The Transportation Department is currently working on developing routes for bus riders for the 2022-23 school year.

Moore County Schools has experienced a dramatic increase in requests for bus transportation this year while at the same time, like many school districts across the state, we continue to experience a bus driver shortage. In some cases, drivers will need to drive longer and/or multiple routes to service all students in need of transportation. This may result in unusually early pickup times and late drop off times for your child.

Parents can check your child’s bus assignment and pickup and dropoff times on the PowerSchool Parent Portal by August 26. Please check the Parent Portal on PowerSchool via the PowerSchool website, not the PowerSchool app. In addition, letters will be mailed home as soon as possible with your child’s transportation information.

We thank you for your patience as we work through these challenges to deliver the most efficient and safe transportation service possible for your child. If you have any immediate questions, please call 910-947-5481 between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Requests for transportation made after August 2 should be made directly in PowerSchool or through your child’s school data manager. Requests for transportation made after August 2 cannot be guaranteed to have a bus assignment for the first day of school. Parents who need assistance with Parent Portal should reach out to their child’s school data manager. If you do not have a Parent Portal account, click here for instructions on how to request an account.
