Celebrate the Class of 2020

Moore County Schools' three high schools will Celebrate the Class of 2020 through a four-prong approach:

  • Pre-recorded Graduation Ceremony. All three high schools will release a pre-recorded full-length graduation ceremony on the Moore County Schools YouTube channel on Friday, June 5 at 7 p.m.

  • Drive-Up Walk the Stage Diploma Ceremony. Each graduate and their family will be allowed to have one vehicle for the ceremony. Students will walk to the stage 10 at a time with parents observing from their vehicles. Students will have a photo taken with their diploma and transition across the stage. This event is not open to the general public. See below for a link to a livestream of each high school's Walk the Stage event.
  • Parade of Graduates. Graduates can parade in their vehicles through a portion of the local community. Students will decorate their cars with names on the side. Locations for the parades are noted below.
  • Early Reunion Celebration for the Class of 2020.  Once social distancing guidelines have been lifted each school will plan an early reunion so the Class of 2020 can celebrate their senior year. Date and time to be announced.

See below for specific dates and times for each high school for Walk the Stage and Parade of Graduates:

North Moore High School
Walk the Stage - Saturday, June 6 at 8 a.m. (Click here for a link to a livestream video)
Parade of Graduates - Saturday, June 6 follows Walk the Stage. At about 10 a.m. the parade will proceed from Tabernacle United Methodist Church, north through Robbins up N.C. 705 and North Middleton Street to the Quik Chek.

Pinecrest High School 
Parade of Graduates - Friday, June 5 at 10 a.m. 
The parade will proceed from the school onto Voit Gilmore Lane to Felton Capel Lane and left on Morganton Road. The parade will proceed down Morganton toward downtown Southern Pines and disperse at the U.S. 1 overpass.

Walk the Stage - Saturday, June 6 at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. (Click here for a link to a livestream video)

Union Pines High School

Parade of Graduates - Saturday, June 6 follows Walk the Stage. At around 9:15 a.m.,the parade will leave Union Pines onto Union Church Road toward Carthage. The processional will move down Monroe Street to the historic courthouse before dispersing.

Community Learning Center at Pinckney
CLC graduates who have chosen to participate in the summer graduation ceremony will do so on July 23. Details to be announced.
