Moore County's FTC page

FTC Robotics
The FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) is designed for students in grades 7 thru 12 to compete head to head, using a sports model. Teams are responsible for designing, building, and programming their robots in a 10-week build period to compete in an alliance format against other teams.

Students will get an opportunity to develop and showcase skills in engineering, programming, and autonomous and remote-controlled vehicle operation as the robot is designed, built, and finally tested against robots from other teams in competition.

"We are excited to bring this next stage of engineering and design to our students. Building a winning FTC robot requires one hundred hours or more by student teams to design, build, test and program a bot that will score point in the challenge laid out by FTC. Teams have to expand and apply their knowledge geometry, physics, and programming in the Python language to produce a winning bot." - Will Herring, MCS Digital Integration Facilitator

Thank you to the Public Education Foundation of Moore County for their continued support of robotics in Moore County Schools.
