What is a "Core" software product in Moore County Schools?
Core software products are our trusted partners (including those prescribed by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction) that are crucial for operations and instruction.
Does my student's school use core products?
Yes, all Moore County Schools use the software products listed under their grade band.
Why don't I see additional products that my school uses?
Individual schools may elect to purchase additional products in addition to the core software products if the school believes they will support the unique learners in their buildings. Those products support, not supplant, the core products.
What is a "Student Data Privacy Agreement"?
A Student Data Privacy Agreement (SDA) is a legally enforceable document that dictates how Moore County student data must be stored in transit and at rest when accessed by software vendors. MCS uses the NC DPI standard SDA document requiring documentation of secure data practices and with accompanying verifications. Moore County requires SDA with all vendors that access significant student data.
How are Moore County core products selected?
Moore County selected core products are vetted by county staff and purchased by grade band or in special circumstances, student groups (EL, IEP, AIG, etc...). State prescriptive core products (including Infinite Campus) are compulsory but also meet student data privacy guidance.

Infinite Campus: Infinite Campus is our secure student information system. Parents have access to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to access a child's grades, attendance, assignments, and other important school information.
Google Suite: Google Suite provides your child with essential tools like email, document creation, and online collaboration for learning and communication.
Schoolnet: Schoolnet is an online testing platform supplied by the NC Department of Public Instruction. Teachers use the platform to administer common district and school assessments as well as author their own curriculum aligned assessments.
Linewize: Linewize helps ensure a safe and focused online learning environment for your child by providing internet filtering and classroom management tools.
Canvas LMS: Canvas is our online learning management system in grades 6-12 where teachers post assignments, resources, and announcements for your child's classes.
Class Dojo: Class Dojo is a communication platform that allows teachers to share classroom updates, photos, and your child's progress and behavior with you.
Classlink: Classlink is a single sign-on portal that provides your child with easy access to all their approved digital learning resources with one username and password.
i-Ready: i-Ready is an adaptive diagnostic and instructional program that helps personalize your child's learning in reading and mathematics.
Great Minds (Eureka): Great Minds (Eureka) is our core curriculum resource providing engaging and rigorous content in subjects like math.

mClass: mClass is an assessment tool used by teachers to monitor your child's early literacy skills and inform instruction.
ICEV: ICEV provides engaging online curriculum and resources focused on career and technical education pathways for your child.
