The Parent Advisory Council is made up of at least one designated parent representative from each school in Moore County Schools. However, all interested parents are welcome to join the council or to attend the council's meetings. Parent Advisory Council members should understand the importance of representing their individual school and themselves as an individual parent advocating for his or her child.
Each school in Moore County Schools hosts its own building-level parent advisory group. To learn more about your school's parent advisory process, consult your student's principal. School-specific topics and concerns are addressed at these building-level parent council meetings, whereas Moore County Schools' Parent Advisory Council addresses district-wide concerns and topics.
For the fall 2022, the PAC will meet in conjunction with a MCS Community Engagement Series that will feature community engagement meetings in the three attendance areas for MCS (Area I feeding Union Pines High School, Area II feeding North Moore High School and Area III feeding Pinecrest High School). PAC members can attend all three engagements series meetings, but each area meeting will focus on the particular concerns of that area.
Moore County Schools parents interested in joining this council may contact their child's school principal.
