Dr. Seth Powers Dr. Powers has worked for MCS for 24 years as a teacher, principal, and since July 2016, as Director of Student Support Services. Prior to his current position, he served as a principal at Highfalls, West Pine Elementary and Elise Middle School. As Director for Student Support Services, he is responsible for all activities related student safety, health and welfare including school nurses, the MCS Police Department, counselors, social workers, psychologists and athletic coaches.
Dr. Powers has a Bachelor of Science in physical education from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a master’s degree in school administration from UNC-Chapel Hill, and a doctorate in educational leadership from Fayetteville State University.
Lucinda Dedmond has been a school psychologist and school counselor for Moore County Schools for 20 years. Mrs. Dedmond earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and an advanced specialist degree in school psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. More recently, she earned a post-master's Certificate in Educational Leadership from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.
