Since its incorporation as a 501(c)(3) in 1984, the Foundation has awarded more than $250,000 to enhance public education in Moore County. During the 2014-15 academic year, nearly $25,000 was awarded to support teachers, schools and projects.
Community support is essential to help raise funds that are granted to teachers for creative educational projects. In addition to planned events, the following opportunities are available for direct donations to the Public Education Foundation throughout the year.

STEM Program DonationsNew this year is the opportunity to enhance community support for Moore County School's STEM program. STEM integrates the teaching of Science and Mathematics by incorporating Technology and Engineering. Funding is needed to fill the gap after a Mebane Grant expired at the end of the last academic year. Please use the button below to safely and securely make a tax-free contribution to the Foundation's efforts to sustain MCS's STEM program.
What could be more appreciated by an educational staff member, teacher or Sandhills resident than being honored in Wings, the quarterly issue of the PEF's grant activities. The honoree will receive a personal note of thanks and the donor will be sent an acknowledgement for tax purposes. As a special holiday remembrance, birthday present or bereavement memorial, a donation to the Foundation would be a unique, memorable and lasting gift to someone who values children and their education.
